Swifties spent an extra $32 million internationally, giving their Mother’s global debut weekend a total of $128.3 million. This broke the previous record set in 2009 by Michael Jackson’s This Is It ($74.3 million).
The Exorcist: Believer ranked second at the domestic box office with $11 million. This brings its two-week gross to $44.9 (85 million worldwide). Jason Blum shifted the release date to avoid directly competing with Swiftian’s juggernaut.
